Why is my puppy itching, losing fur on her back, and has dry skin?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 5 days old | 25 lbs

My puppy is 5 months old she is a has dry skin and itching she is losing fur on the backside. None of my other animals are affected or are itching what can this be?

The first thing to do is to check for any fleas. A flea allergy can cause hair loss in those areas and an allergic dog can show symptoms whiles others may not even notice. If there are no fleas then it may be from a parasite such as mange or an environmental allergy. Your vet can do a skin scraping tocbheck and discuss medicine to treat an allergy
