My kitten's tongue is out, looks burned, and has bad breath. Why?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 month and 8 days old | 5 lbs

Hey, my kitten has been keeping his tongue out. Checked his toungue and saw what looks like burns. It's been going on for about a week now, and has developed terrible breath.

This sounds like stomatitis/gingivitis with the ulceration in the mouth and tongue which can be very painful for a cat. Antiinflammatory medication prescribed by your vet and oral rinses to reduce the bacteria load in the mouth can help ease the discomfort and reduce the bad breath
