My dog has a scab in his ear that isn't healing. What should I do?

Charlie has a small scab in his ear near the tip which is not healing , what can i do to help it heal?

Poor guy. This may be a deep puncture that needs to either have a suture or staple to close it or it needs to be flushed daily with sterile saline to get it to heal. Have your vet look at it in person to determine which is needed. Charlie also should be placed on a short course of antibiotics and an Elizabethan collar placed if he is scratching the area.
