My dog has a small red bump on his snout. Should I be worried?

My dog has a round red nodule on his snout near his whiskers. It's about 1.5 mm in diameter. Popped up about 1 week ago

As of right now this bump does not look too concerning. The best way to determine if a lump/bump is concerning is to have a fine needle aspirate and cytology done. This is where some cells are taken from the mass and looked at under the microscope. The mass could be something benign like a histiocytoma or something more serious like a mast cell tumor. I would recommend keeping an eye on it and taking Baxter to the vet if it changes at all. If it does not go away in a reasonable amount of time (about a month or so) I would have it checked out.
