The dandruff is from dry skin after the bath. You can try to add a leave-in conditioner next time (like epi-soothe) to see if this may help him. Bathing too frequently can cause dry skin as well. Make sure to keep up on monthly flea treatments for all pets in household to prevent flea re-infestation for George.

It sounds like Boo may have a little dry or flaky skin. If you can't see any obvious causes for it, such as external parasites, it may be that the shampoo you used dried out her skin a little. You can reduce the frequency of bathing (as too frequent of bathing can lead to dry skin) and use pet wipes or baby wipes in between baths to help keep the skin and coat clean without stripping it. Using an oatmeal or moisturizing shampoo can also help with dry skin issues. Supplements such as fish oil or vitamin E can also help with dry skin. If you do see external parasites, or other problems such as open sores, excessive itching, redness or rash it may indicate something more such as an allergic reaction, or skin infection and should be looked at and treated by your vet.
