My puppy has a strong musky smell. Baths don't help. What's the cause?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 9 days old | 35 lbs

My puppy smells aweful. Its not a corn chip or yeasty smell its much stronger. She is being treated for a UTI and has had some food allergies in which her food was changed. No bath can help it, shes musky x10. What could be causing this?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I wonder if it could be her anal glands. The anal glands can smell like pretty much anything-fishy to musky. Dogs with allergies can also have anal gland issues. Call your Vet and see if they or the technicians can check her anal glands and express them if full. Good luck!
