My dog has bugs and scratches. Are they fleas? Is Frontline effective?

I have found bugs on chayannn, they don't really jump like fleas but he has a lot of them and scratches himself a lot due to it. FRONTLINE? Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 10 years old

It does sound like it would be a good idea to get him on a good flea control medication, since this will also kill other types of insects such as lice, etc. I actually don't recommend Frontline as it doesn't seem to be very effective for most dogs - K9 Advantix would be a better choice if you want something over the counter, or you can get a prescription medication like Nexgard or Bravecto from your vet.
