Dog coughing? What home remedies can I use before seeing the vet?

Hello my dog been coughing a lot we heard from someone that has a dog says it's a flem please help me I'm taking him next 2 weeks to the vet since that's when I can afford too but can u please tell me any home remedies that can help my pup for the mean time? Thank you, sheena

Cough can be caused by an infection, heart problem or lung condition, it is important to first know the cause before treating it as treatment is different from condition to another. The most common disease causing cough is a viral infection called Kennel cough, this disease usually resolves without treatment within a couple weeks but if the cough is too severe it is recommended to go to the vet in order to get cough medicine and antibiotics.
