Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 115 lbs
My dog has a wart which randomly appeared about 2 months ago. It appeared to be normal, we visited a vet over a month ago for other reasons but she check the wart and said it will be fine, it's harmless. Lately it appears to be irritating my dog as he's been scratching and whining. Over these past 3 weeks it's appeared to grow bigger and he's scratched it so much that the skin off it has fallen off and now it is vulnerable. Should this be checked out again to determine if it's possibly cancerous

If your vet already examined this and determined it to be benign, then it is unlikely to be cancerous at this point, but that doesn't mean that it does not need to get surgically removed, especially if it is bothering him. One option is to have it removed and then sent to a pathologist for histopath so you can determine exactly what it is for sure.
