Dog trying to throw up but can't. Could it be a blockage or bloat?

Please help me. I'm worried about my little guardian angel! Our little girl has been making weird sounds,something like she wants to throw up or something is stuck in her throat and she's been trying to throw up but she can't. I'm scared of a blockage since it might be dangerous at times. What should I do to help her? Please do you have any advice for me ? What it might be? Thanks all for the continued support and advice. Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 11 months old | 4 lbs

Poor Bella! I'm sorry to hear she isn't doing well at the moment. It is concerning that she is making sounds like she has to throw up but cannot. That can be a sign of bloat, which is a medical emergency in dogs. She could also have an obstruction causing her symptoms, or it may be a severe respiratory infection. I think it's best she is seen by a vet immediately to diagnose what is causing her problems so she can be treated.
