Why are my new parakeets breathing heavily and stretching their legs?

I just got two parakeets today and they are both breathing kind of heavily, and one of them keeps on stretching its leg backwards like every five minutes. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | 0.3 lbs

Both birds may be a bit stressed out by the sudden introduction of a friend and sharing of resources. Keeping the cage in an area that is free from loud noises, heavy foot-traffic and lots of distractions may help, as well as making sure both birds have access to food, water, and perches without dispute. If one or both birds is still acting ill after a day or so, then having a vet take a look to make sure there isn't an illness is best.
