Why is my crested gecko not moving, eating, breathing, and has a belly lump?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My crested gecko isn't responding to movement like usual and she isn't breathing much. She hasn't ate in a few days either and there is something sticking out on her belly

I am sorry to hear about your gecko. It is hard to tell from the photo but I wonder if this could actually be his breastbone which looks prominent because he is dehydrated and underweight. I would recommend getting him to a vet who sees reptiles as soon as possible. If he is this ill, he likely needs aggressive supportive care such as fluid therapy to rehydrate him and an x-ray to check for intestinal blockage.
