Hi I I just got to sowrd tall guppy and I was wondering if it was going to give birth but the gray spot does not look big and it’s kind of a brownish yellow I and doesn’t seem that they have a lot of eggs in it right now but it’s pretty big and I want to put in the breeding box for the last time I put in a pretty box early the guppy get stressed out and end up aborting all the babies I really don’t want that happening because I really want these babies please help me. Guppies are livebearers, they don't lay eggs. gestation is approximately 30 days in length. The gravid spot is one way to determine pregnancy. As she gets closer to spawning, she will "square up" (in shape) and begin hiding or searching for cover to give birth.
