I am sorry to hear about Hope. If she is not squinting or rubbing the eye and no redness is present, it is possible she has just irritated her eye or gotten some dirt/dust in the eye. We can see clear drainage from an irritation like this, as well as from allergies, mild infection, or blockage of the nasolacrimal duct. You can try flushing the eye with a sterile eye wash (you can purchase this at most pet stores or drug stores) in case there is any debris in the eye. If this doesn't lead to improvement, or if the eye becomes red, puffy, or she starts rubbing or squinting or the discharge turnes green/yellow then a trip to her vet is recommended.
