Sometimes in a young dog one can manually reducing the gland of the third eyelid back into its normal place, however in most cases it will pop out again. As long as it is not red and inflamed and causing any trouble, you can leave it like it is. It is basically just a beauty problem. However if it starts giving your dog problems with the eye (dry eye, infection, inflammation, discharge) then it will need to have surgery,
