My dog is vomiting, has diarrhea, and is lethargic. Vet needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | 3 years and 10 months old

Trick vomited partially digested food and poop all through his bedding overnight he is still passing watery poop have him small amount of food this morning have cooked some rice he looks very down and was drinking but has stopped now should I take to vet or keep monitoring at home and see if he improves.

Vomiting and diarrhea can occur secondary to conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, parasites, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Trick evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration.     Poor Trick! Whenever a dog is having both vomiting and diarrhea, I do recommend a visit with the vet. The dog can easily get dehydrated from doing both these things, and it's concerning that he's not stopped drinking which will also contribute to dehydration. I would take him into a vet today.
