Welcome to cat care! Cats do vomit a lot more often than dogs and other animals. It seems to be their nature since they often eats rodents and birds whole and they vomit up the undigestable parts. In general cats vomit if they eat too fast, if they have hairballs or for no apparent reason. As long as they appear fine, eating and drinking its nothing to be overly concerned about. You can brush him daily, and give a teaspoon of cat laxative weekly to prevent hairballs. if he should be lethargic, not be eating, and looks sick with vomiting episodes then a veterinary exam is recommended. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Sonny.
