Why is my dog drinking, urinating, seizing, and struggling to walk?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 101 lbs

my dog has been drinking/urinating excessively, having trouble walking up stairs or even getting up, and for about 4 nights in a row she’s had serizures that involve violent shaking and panting with unresponsiveness. she barely moves anymore and won’t get up to go outside to do her business. we plan on taking her to vet tomorrow, but i’m just curious as to what is wrong with my poor pup, it hurts to see her in pain. thank you so much for your help.

Drinking and urinating excessively can be a sign of many diseases including kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, cushing's disease, addison's disease, infections, cancer, etc. She needs to be examined by a vet as soon as possible for a work up. Your vet can run blood-work and a urinalysis to help diagnose.
