When should I introduce water and food to my 26-day-old kittens?

Hello my kittens almost a month old, 26days. When do i start to give them water and or feed them? or its still early ? only milk

Thank you for submitting your question regarding the kittens. Kitten food and water can be offered starting at 3 weeks of age. They will will still nurse until 5-6 weeks of age though. You can offer canned food or dry kibble soaked in water for them. I hope this information helps!

    You can try to feed kitten food. You can soak dry kitten food in water to make it soggy or feed canned kitten food. They all take to this at different times si don’t get discouraged if they do not eat... the majority of their nutrients is still supposed to come from Mom at this point. If they don’t eat it, skip a few days and try again. They are generally weaned from Mom by 6-8 weeks.

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding the kittens. I typically recommend adding cat food to their diet around 3-4 weeks of age. So they are old enough to begin eating kitten food. You can try canned kitten food or dry kitten food softened with some warm water. Either is fine for them to try. I hope this information helps!
