My puppy ate Benadryl. Should I be worried? What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 18 days old | 5 lbs

My 2month old jack russell (4-5 lbs) ingested half of a 25mg benadryl that was on the ground about 20-25 min ago. Im worried he will OD on me. I dont have peroxide to induce throw up. What can i do??

Hi. He had a little over 2 times his normal dose if he had 12.5mg. Most likely you will just notice tiredness, lethargy and will just need monitoring, BUT it would be best to contact animal poison control with exact weight, amount, ingredients, and they will give you the best advice based on the history.
