Why is my dog always hungry and constantly begging for food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 20 days old | 53.7 lbs

My pet eata eggs and pedigree twice in the whole day. Despite that he keeps knocking and we have to give 3-4 breads. Its recent bihaviour that he has picked up and doesnt stop until we give him the breads. Im worries that he might gain weight. Why is he doing this and what can be the way to change the bihaviour?

Hello, Thyroid disorders and diabetes can both cause dogs to experience an increase in appetite. I'd recommend taking Aura to his veterinarian to rule out medical causes of increased appetite. If there are none and this is behavioral, you can talk to your vet about possibly feeding a diet higher in fiber that makes Aura feel fuller with the same amount of food. I hope this is helpful.
