Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 24 days old
Hello. I am a 6th-grade student and I am currently working on an experiment for the ticks of dogs/puppies, and I am also taking care of 4 pups. What facts do you have for how to avoid having ticks? Thanks!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding dogs and ticks. I recommend using a topical veterinary flea and tick prevention such as Frontline Gold and Vectra 3D. These products will repel and kill fleas and ticks on contact. The oral chews such as Bravecto and Nexgard, require the dog to be bit by the tick to kill it. This allows the tick to spread diseases to the dog. I hope this information helps!
