Hello. Young puppies explore their world through their mouths & need to be taught what is acceptable to chew on. This will take some time & training. When she bites or growls ( which may be just some play acting ), just say no firmly & put something else in her mouth. A suitable soft toy would be nice, but she should have a range of toys with different shapes, sizes & textures, from soft to hard. Make sure anything she plays with is large enough not to be easily swallowed, & has no pieces that can come off to be swallowed. Her adult teeth will start to erupt at around 4-6 months of age, so chewing will be a part of both your lives for a while. Use gentle discipline, & have lots of patience, treats & toys & everyone will get through this. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
