Is my dog licking and scooting because she's in heat or anal glands?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 19 days old | 5.7 lbs

Molly is started to lick herself and drag her butt on the floor are these signs of going in heat if not why is she doing this?

Hi and thanks for you request. Usually these signs are related to anal gland most commonly affected by inflammation or infection. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.
