My baby conure is nippy. How do I train it to perch and stop biting?

I recently got a baby conure. I would like him to have a little bit of training. I was wondering how do you train him to stay on a perch? Also he loves to play which I love but he gets a little nippy. He’s not being aggressive or anything he just gets very excited. How do you get him to lay off the play biting? Thank you.
