My dog's eye is red and he's not eating, which is unusual. Why?

He won’t let me open it but it’s red and he hasn’t been eating which is very unusual for him! I just need to know what’s wrong! He also still plays and goes to daycare! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 65 lbs

I would recommend taking Jackson to a veterinarian. He may have an infection in his eye in which case he should not be going to daycare since it can be contagious. He could also have a scratch on his eye while can be painful. Your veterinarian will stain his eye to rule out a scratch and can [provide medication to make him feel much better.
