Is this a hernia or can dogs have belly buttons ? That are outties? Vet spayed her at six months didn’t mention anything wrong

This does not look like a n umbilical hernia on the photos. You can easily check for a hernia by gently pressing on the "bubble" and if it disappears, it is a hernia. Very small hernias (less than a dime in diameter) do not always have to be repaired. If you cannot reduce the mass then it is likely just scar tissue from the umbilicus.

I don't see an obvious abnormality here, but it's very difficult to tell depth and evaluate these things with pictures. Dogs do have little outtie belly buttons and this does appear to be around the area (would have to see the whole abdomen to tell). If the vet did not mention any issues, then this would be a good sign that there's nothing abnormal here. You could be feeling/seeing the spay incision. In order to tell exactly what you are seeing, a vet would have to physically examine her. However, this is likely not necessary unless you are noticing the area swell. If the area does start to swell, then it would be best to have a vet evaluate her sometime soon. Otherwise, this can wait until the next time she visits the vet.
