What can I give my dog for soft stool or mild diarrhea at home?

Hi there, what would be good for me to give my dog if he has a little softness in his stool?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Mild diarrhea can improve with time or a bland diet for a few days. You can boil chicken or hamburger and mix it with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day until 1-2 normal stools. You can also purchase a probiotic online, I like Purina Fortiflora. Possible causes of soft stool are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, ate something gross, food allergy/sensitivity, new food/treat/human food. If his stool gets worse or doesn't improve I recommend taking Joey in to your Vet for an appointment and have a stool sample checked for parasites. I hope this helps!
