Why is my cat dry heaving, coughing, and acting like he's in pain?

My cat is a out side cat he can move his neck but I notice he dry heaves sometime but a cough sound also he acts like it hurts he is eating excellent a little active but not like usual. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | unneutered | 10 lbs
