My puppy has fleas after Advantage. Can I use a flea collar too?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 16 days old | 15 lbs

Our 15 week old puppy was diagnosed and treated for fleas with Advantage Multi. The Advantage is working but he is still bringing in live fleas. We have cats and they do not show signs of fleas when grooming with a flea comb. What we want to know is if we can use a flea collar in addition to the Advantage to prevent the fleas from entering the home at all. We are t

It's not recommended to combine a spot on treatment and a flea collar. You need to disinfect the environment, as that is where fleas live. They jump on the animal to feed, and then jump off. Wash Lincoln's bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. Also make sure to flea treat your cats to prevent them from getting them. I hope this helps!
