My dog's ear infection worsened after olive oil. What should I do?

Hi my dog is suffering from ear mites and got tols that olive oil is good so ive been wiping her tab with sterile water and cottonwool balls to clean of residue and putting abit of olive oil after to suffercate the ear mitea but after a couple days of doing that it looks like its got worse

Poor Red! This ear looks quite sore and infected, so I would definitely recommend taking her to the vet for an exam. It looks like she will likely need oral antibiotics and possibly a steroid or other anti-inflammatory medication, in addition to whatever other treatment might be needed. While it's possible that she could have ear mites, yeast or bacterial ear infections are much more common in dogs - if this is the problem, she will need prescription ear drops from your veterinarian in order to treat the infection.
