My puppy has a head bump from an old injury. Why is it still there?

I have been given a chewawa puppy, who is 6 months old. When he was 7 weeks old, a baby gate fell on him. It caused a hard bump just above his eyebrow, this bump is still viable, why has it never gone

This could have been a little injury to the bone in that area which then, trying to heal itself, made more new bone cells than needed. This may go away over time, or stay. The other possibility could be that there was a fracture, or cyst or other fluid filled cavity. Carefully palpate that bump and if it feels soft or fluctuating you need to have this examined by a veterinarian.
