What is this sudden red, raw spot on my dog's skin? Is it a hotspot?

My dog has this on his skin today its showed up out of no where I saw I after I came home from work idk what it is or what to do?

This looks like a hotspot. Hotspots can be caused buy flea bites, then licking and bacterial contamination and infection. A little injury or just excessive licking can cause this also. You will need to put a cone on your dog or at least a t-shirt, so your dog cannot lick the spot and then take Bebo to your veterinarian tomorrow. These hotspots can spread terribly fast. Your vet will shave the area, and clean and disinfect the area. Your dog may get oral medication or an ointment to apply or both.
