Dog scooting butt after vet visit for anal glands. Diet or vet again?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 6 years and 6 months old | 57 lbs

Scoots butt on ground - not often. Deworming again with Pancur. Vet took care of anal gland. Should I change diet or consult local Vet again? Stools are normal.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If possible, I would recommend you check in with your veterinarian for further assessment. This is possibly an anal gland issue. Sometimes these can get impacted or infected and cause those signs. Good luck and have a great day!
