My cat won't stop itching and licking. Are home remedies effective?

I think my cat has hotspots. She is always itching, pulling at the hair nd licking her back area. You can tell she very uncomfortable and I receive SSI so I don't have alot money. Is there home remedies I could try to make her feel better nd stop all the licking, itching nd pulling at her hair? Plz help me, she is like my child. There could be a number of causes behind her itching such as fleas, mites, allergies, or ringworm, and the cause needs to be diagnosed in order for her to get the correct treatment.
