My dog's ears are suddenly red and inflamed. Should I see a vet?

Cooper's ears have suddenly become very red? Why is it so? Do I need to go to a vet. Otherwise his behaviour is normal. I cleaned it with salicylic acid solution by virbac which was recommended by the vet. It is redder than it appears in the pictures. Thanks in advance. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 49 lbs
