can a Rottweiler be a good dog for a first time owner. I met a couple in person. I am aware of their size and their needs of heavy socialization. I have researched dogs for more than 2 years. but never owned one

I personally wouldn't recommend a Rottweiler for a first time pet owner. They do require an experienced dog owner due to their size and behavior traits. An excellent dog for a first time owner is a Golden Retriever, I suggest looking into one of those for a pet. I hope this helps!
