Hi, my black lab Maggie has small cysts of some sort, ranging from the size of my pinky fingernail to a quarter. They are mostly on her neck and behind her ears. I have no clue what they are. Should I be worried?

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Maggie. We can have benign cysts that can arise, especially in older dogs, but it is best to have any new growths in older dogs examined by your veterinarian. Your vet may recommend doing a fine needle aspirate (inserting a small needle into the growth to collect cells to view under the microscope) to determine if the masses are a type which should be removed surgically.
