My 1 year old chihuahua throws up mucous several times a week. His appetite is good. He is happy and active. Should I be concerned?

Hi. Yes this is concerning as it isnt normal. There are many possible causes for vomiting unfortunately. Luckily with Oliver, he seems to still feel good. Possible causes include: dietary, acid build up, parasites, food allergies, esophageal diseases, infections, and even some metabolic or endocrine diseases. First i would nake sure Oliver eats twice a day versua once. Then i woukd recommend a full exam by your veterinarian, and a fecal test, to start. If the exam is normal, xrays would be the next step unless the exam receals it should be done sooner. Hope he feels better soon!!
