My cat has lost hair, is this scabies? or something else

Based on the photos, I suspect that Tom may be dealing with a bacterial or fungal skin infection. I would recommend taking him to the veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Tom may need a combination of topical and oral medications to treat this. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Oh that does not look good. Unfortunately without seeing your cat in person, I can't make a diagnosis. It could be a skin infection, from allergies, fleas, or mites. I would take your cat into a vet today to have this examined, diagnosed, and treated. Best of luck.
