What are these yellow scabs on my puppy's belly? Are they contagious?

My 9 week old bu husky mixed breed has scabs on the hairless part of her belly in the groin area. The scabs have become a yellowish color. She has been treated for round worms and had her first puppy shot 3 weeks ago She has a vet appointment in a week but I have another dog and I'm worried that it may be contagious to him. Any ideas what this might be? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 27 days old

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This looks like a focal infection. This is not likely contagious. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good day!
