My unfixed dogs are fighting. Will spaying/neutering help aggression?

Question

I have a 6 year old female yellow lab that is showing aggresion toward a 1.5 year old pug. Neither is fixed. Would getting them fixed help with the aggresion. Currently we are keeping them separate until we can get the lab fixed. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 70 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, it is probable that getting them fixed will help. I would say that you may not get the full effect until both are fixed. I would also note that some residual behavioral aggression may remain. This can usually be improved by some anti-anxiety medication and training. Best wishes to you and the pups!
