My dog threw up but ate and drank. Is this normal, and why grass?

My dog threw up. She later ate her dinner and drank water is that normal she also eats a lot of grass. Pet's info: Dog | Whippet | Female | spayed | 10 months and 18 days old | 32 lbs

While it is not normal, sometimes an episode of vomiting can be episodic and not necessarily something that will actually represent an issue going forward. If this does not occur again then it would be ok to not take her to a veterinarian. However, if the vomiting continues, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian as vomiting can be caused by a disease such as pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among other possibilities.
