Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm sorry to hear that Stormi vomited today. If this was the first time that she had dry food, she may have vomited because it caused her some mild gastric upset, or a belly ache. Dogs' gastrointestinal tracts are very sensitive to changes in diet, so if she was eating a different food previously, and was abruptly switched to this food, that can cause vomiting and/or diarrhea. If she just vomited once and is otherwise acting healthy, I would continue to monitor her at home. If she vomits multiple times, or is unable to keep any food dog at all, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian. Otherwise, I would withhold feeding her for a few hours, but allow her access to water. You may try offering her a small amount of bland food such as boiled chicken and rice in a few hours, and see how she tolerates that. If she can keep it down, you can try mixing in some of this new dry food with some rice. I hope this is helpful!
