My cat is coughing and sounds short of breath. What should I do?

I have a female cat she's around 2 years. Recently I noticed my cat is coughing it sounds like short of breath. It only lasts for a minutes. Is there anything serious?

She may have an upper respiratory infection, feline asthma, or may be trying to get rid of a hairball. You should give her hairball remedy for a while according to the instructions on the tube (available in every pet shop and also large shopping centers). If the coughing does not subside within the next days, or if she appears lethargic, ill, stops eating and/or drinking, she will need to be seen by a veterinarian for an exam. She may then have an infection or asthma that will need to be treated.
