Hello and thank you for reaching out to the veterinary service. We often get this question about how a dogs nose should feel; dry or wet. As long as a dog is eating, drinking, and playing normally, the nose being either dry or wet does not matter one bit. The only time when having a dry nose can be a problem is when it becomes so cracked that it’s painful to the touch but this does not happen often. So again, having a dry nose is not a problem at all. Thanks a lot for your question. Have a nice day.

Mila's nose could have gotten dry simply from lying in the sun, being near a heat source, or being in a warm room. The temperature (warm or cold) and moisture level (wet or dry) are not used an indication of illness in a dog, so it's nothing to worry about if her nose is dry :-)
