Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 7 months old | 60 lbs

My dog has patches of scaly skin on both front legs and now her feet. Today when bathing her we noticed they were oozing yellowish fluid. She also has red spots on her belly.

Hello, sorry to hear about Misty. It looks like she may be having secondary skin infections to allergies. Most often in dogs allergies may be associated with food, the environment, or even fleas. In addition to bathing her regularly to wash off any allergens, Misty may need antibiotics and allergy medications to help her recover from this. Have her veterinarian examine her and determine if she needs to be prescribed these medications. In addition, you can practice wiping her legs and underside with skin sensitive baby wipes after coming in from being outdoors to reduce her exposure to allergens. She should also be on year round flea control. Hope this helps and best of luck.
