Why does my dog have thick skin on his elbow and a red stomach rash?

He has elephant skin on right knee front it seems painfil a red rash on one side of stomach. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Male | neutered | 98 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. On the elbow, what you are seeing is a common problem in larger dogs. This area commonly becomes thickened and wrinkled from lying down on the area. As for the rash on the side of the stomach, this could be an allergy or skin infection. I would recommend using a product called BioBalm for the elbow, which can be found online quite easily. I would also recommend using a spray called Malacetic conditioning spray and apply twice daily to the stomach. If there is no improvement, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Scrappy so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
