Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 3 days old | 2.4 lbs
Our new kitten coughs about 3 or four times a day. Our other cat is a 1 year old Neva Masquerade which has thick fur and which the kitten is often liking.Could the problem be a hard to move furball?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Coughing can be a sign of many conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, heart disease, among many other possibilities. A hairball is possible though not as likely. I recommend that you have Sky evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include thoracic radiographs and bloodwork. Treatment would be dependent on findings. Good luck and have a good day!
