My unneutered dog's penis is bleeding. Is it prostate issues?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Male | unneutered | 78 lbs

My granddog bleeds from his penis every time he comes to visit. He is not been neutered. Is it because we have a female dog ( neutered) living here? He has gone through testing and is healthy . Vet recommended he be neutered. Just wonder why it is onlywhen he visits he has this problem?

You dog is probably suffering from a prostate disease (cancer or inflammation), it's very common in unneutered dogs. i recommend taking him to the vet ASAP, if it is not an advanced cancer then neutering him will solve the problem.
